NOARK's Workforce Readiness Committee was recognized in an article about the NWA job fair in the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce November newsletter:

Over 1,200 employment seekers and hundreds of veterans flocked to Rogers on Friday, September 14 with the hopes of landing the perfect job. Hosted by the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce and presented by WorkSource NTS and NorthWest Arkansas Community College, the NWA Job Fair is the largest and longest running job fair in Arkansas.

An opening ceremony featured singing of the national anthem along with a welcome and tribute to veterans provided by Walmart and the US Chamber of Commerce who partnered with the Chamber to offer the Hiring Our Heroes program at the event. This program was developed by the US Chamber of Commerce and is a nationwide effort to help veterans and their spouses find jobs in their local community. Hiring Our Heroes focuses on making a difference in local communities where veterans and their families are returning every day. Through job fairs like these, the public and private sector work together to help veterans and military spouses connect with employers.

Also featured at the job fair were the popular Job Seekers Lounge (complete with computers providing job seekers easy access to online applications), free Interview and Resume CPR workshops sponsored by NOARK's Workforce Readiness Committee and the Business Clothing Closet to help job seekers who needed suitable business clothing to look their very best in interviews.
