Teleconference Invitation

Listening Session on myE-Verify

Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014

2–3 p.m. (Eastern)

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) invites you to participate in a listening session on Tuesday, Dec. 16, from 2–3p.m. (Eastern) to discuss a new website for U.S. workers called myE-Verify.

myE-Verify is the new website from USCIS that gives workers resources and tools to learn about and participate in the E-Verify process. Features include:

ü  Self Check – the free online service you can use to confirm your employment eligibility through the same databases checked by E-Verify.

ü  myResources – multimedia resources about E-Verify and employment eligibility verification from the worker’s perspective; it includes the E-Verify Employee Rights Toolkit and more information on your employer’s responsibilities.

ü  myE-Verify accounts – the myE-Verify website introduced secure personal accounts . Account holders can use the new Self Lock feature that allows individuals to lock their social security numbers to prevent unauthorized or fraudulent use within E-Verify. Accounts and Self Lock are currently only available to individuals in Arizona, Idaho, Colorado, Mississippi, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.

During this listening session, USCIS officials will seek feedback about your experience with myE-Verify, and how we might improve the overall user experience. Feedback and suggestions can be related to:

  • Your experience accessing and setting up a myE-Verify account
  • Your impressions of the content, appearance and functionality of the website
