In lieu of specific Regulatory Standards, OSHA has issued specific COVID-19 Guidance for workplaces to comply with.  Human Resources Managers must be able to navigate through long lists of suggestions and advice on how to keep their workplaces safe while complying with OSHA requirements.  This presentation is designed to help participants build their COVID-19 Prevention Programs at a time when OSHA is placing special emphasis on the virus by teaching the main points from OSHA’s Guidance, what OSHA’s focus is regarding the virus, and how to keep everyone in their workplace as safe as possible from the virus.

 

Participants in the Membership Meeting Program will be able to:

1.       Understand the Basic Current COVID-19 Guidelines in Place from OSHA and the CDC and how Guidelines Differ from Standards

2.       Draft a COVID-19 Prevention Program for their Business

3.       Implement Basic COVID-19 Infection Prevention Measures for Safer Workplaces

SPEAKER: Robert Magri, Regional Safety Director, Staffmark

Robert Magri, Regional Safety Director, Staffmark is a safety professional with thirty years of safety experience.  Robert possesses a Master of Science Degree in Operations Management and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication both from the University of Arkansas.  He holds a Certificate in Safety Management from the American Society of Safety Professionals and is an Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Commission Approved Professional Safety Source.  Robert was an Adjunct Faculty Member for the Operations Management Department at the University of Arkansas for six years and was an authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer for twenty-one years.  He is a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals who has completed over 700 hours of professional course work including the OSHA Training Institute’s Safety and Health Course for Federal Agencies, the Oklahoma State University Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Course, and U.S. Army Environmental Hygiene Agency Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene Course.  Robert has been with Staffmark for twenty-six years and was the full-time State Safety Specialist for the Arkansas Army National Guard prior to his tenure at Staffmark.
