Morgan is the Vice President of Human Resources at AcreTrader. In this role, she develops strategy and support for a rapidly-growing company and oversees all aspects of the HR department. Morgan has served small businesses and nonprofits for over a decade through development, education, communications, and HR support. She formerly served as Northwest Arkansas Regional Director of FORGE Inc., Arkansas’s oldest community revolving loan fund. In this role, she led the region’s efforts in providing access to affordable capital and business development services to small businesses and nonprofit organizations. Prior to that, she was the Director of Programs and Partnerships with Startup Junkie Foundation where she worked to elevate the rural and historically disadvantaged entrepreneurial community through targeted outreach and initiatives to a 9-county service area.
Morgan began her career in HR as Director of People and Culture at a rapidly-growing private company and developed robust processes and systems for HR, internal and external communications, and community partnerships. She also previously served as Director of Development and Promotion for an NWA nonprofit economic revitalization and historic preservation organization, and she served as project manager for a grant writing and consulting company. Morgan is certified through the Society of Human Resources Management and is on the board of the Northwest Arkansas chapter. Morgan earned her Master's degree in Rhetoric, Composition, and Literacy from the University of Arkansas and specialized in curriculum development and design by helping pilot and revise the University's composition curriculum. She is also a former university composition instructor and received the Larry Guinn Endowed Award. She earned her Bachelor's degree from John Brown University and an Associates degree from Johnson County Community College and has lived and worked in India, England, and the Middle East.
