The Walton College Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center and event co-sponsors the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce, Great Southern Bank and NOARK present "Human Resources Issues and Talent Management Updates for Small Business.” This seminar will cover recent legal and industry issues regarding human resources topics, employee privacy and HIPAA regulations updates, and the current Northwest Arkansas employment environment for successful hiring and retention of Hispanic and Latino talent. Presenters are Rick Teague, M.A., SHRM-SCP, SPHR; P. Delanna Padilla, L.L.M., J.D., CHP, CSCS of Wright, Lindsey & Jennings, LLP law firm, and Rey Hernandez, State Director of LULAC. P. Delanna Padilla, LL.M., practices in the areas of corporate law, taxation, health law, legal malpractice, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and labor and employment.

Padilla’s healthcare practice includes acquisitions of healthcare entities, hospital financings, and HIPAA issues. She advises clients on healthcare regulatory issues, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and its amendments. She is a Certified HIPAA Professional and Certified HIPAA Security Specialist and provides HIPAA training and review of HIPAA policies and procedures for clients.

Her labor and employment practice focuses on developing personnel policies, employment agreements, covenants not to compete, and the defense of employers in federal and state actions.

Ricky is a Human Resources Generalist with a Bachelor’s Degree (BBA), holds a Master’s Degree (MA) in Business Administration, and is certified under the SHRM-SCP and SPHR Certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources. He has 40 years’ human resource management and business experience working with three of Fortune 100s most admired Companies, McKesson, Nestle and Raytheon.
In 2013, he launched his own Human Resources consulting firm, TransAmericas Human Resources, LLC. The firm provides fundamental human resources programs for small to medium sized businesses in North America, Latin America, and South America.
Ricky is active in a number of professional organizations. He was awarded LIFE member status of SHRM, the national human resources association known as the Society for Human Resource Management. Previously served as the College Relations Director on the Arkansas State Council of ARSHRM the Arkansas Society for Human Resource Management. He is currently a member of NOARK, North Arkansas Personnel Association. Occasionally Ricky presents educational sessions for the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center.
