Job Summary

Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems. Ensure compliance and practices of the company’s basic upward and downward communication channels to promote a work environment of trust and team member goodwill.
Assist local management in the implementation of retention initiatives. Gather and analyze turnover, retention, and absenteeism data.
Partner with other Departments (Payroll, IT, Ops, etc.) to initiate, support or resolve employee requests/issues. Audit the HR functions to insure that the plant is in compliance procedurally and consistently with our policy and practices guidelines; review, discuss and make recommendation to facility management on ways to correct any issues forthcoming in the audits.
Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Drive people development opportunities; supporting our leadership in identifying, building and implementing individual improvement, performance and succession plans.
Conduct thorough investigations of all team member complaints; provide follow-up to the Regional HR Director and other department heads regarding complaint issues. Maintain a written record of all complaints. Ensure that the electronic spreadsheet log for peer review/grievances is updated and current at all times.
Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field

5+ years progressive Human Resource experience.
