Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing and administering human resource services, actively drive programs and processes in the areas of employee relations, benefits administration, payroll, compensation, evaluations, 401K, FMLA, and government reporting. Ensuring that the organization is in full legal compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Develop, implement and evaluate ongoing HR policies, programs, functions and activities.


Detailed Job Description

Major Duties & Accountabilities

  • Takes part in and embrace the Legacy Culture by giving outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Required to be atively involved in the daily running of the department
  • Directs administration and processing of compensation - payroll and time off
  • Provides necessary documentation, communication and procedures to employees including, manuals, employee handbooks, and reports
  • Monitors and advises on employee performance reviews/improvements, probationary period and company processes regarding such
  • Maintains standards and procedures necessary for workforce hiring and conducts employee onboarding and termination procedures
  • Formulates and recommends Human Resources policies and practices for the company on any topic associated with employee relations and employee rights
  • Conducts investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth
  • Reviews, guides and converses with management to make recommendations for the handling of various employee situations to include employment termination
  • Works with Human Resources consultant, insurance brokers, insurance carriers, 401K administration and others outside sources
  • Direct the administration of benefit programs to include: health, dental, visions, life, disability, and 401K
  • Directs the preparation of information requested or required for compliance with laws to include affirmative action program, files EEO-1, Vets100, FMLA, ERISA and other records, reports, and logs to conform to regulations. Approves all information submitted. Serves as the primary contact with the company
  • Monitors all pay practices and systems for effectiveness, market competitiveness, internal equity among employees, cost containment, compliance with employment laws
  • Recommend and establish company policies and procedures
  • With the assistance of the CEO, monitor national benefits environment for options and cost savings
  • Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations. Minimizes risk

  • Facilitate with departmental staff for regulatory record/license requirements

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources required OR
    • 10+ years progressively responsible experience in human resources and Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Prior payroll and benefits management experience required
  • Valid US driver’s license and auto insurance required
  • Banking experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field preferred
