The Payroll Services Coordinator has the responsibility of submitting payrolls and ensures accuracy of payroll records as well as processes on-line adjustments, including manual checks, cancels, cash receipts, refunds, transfers, and reversals. This position also balances the general ledger and works collaboratively with university departments. This position ensures the accuracy of data entry and provides technical assistance and customer service to assists individuals and work units with resolving payroll problems with a superior level of customer service.
This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

- The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or related field
- At least three years of experience in payroll services activities or related area, including one year in a supervisory capacity
Applicable equivalencies may be considered
- At least five years of experience working in payroll services
- At least one year of experience working in higher education
- Experience in BASIS or Workday
- CPP or FPC certification
