Lunch and Panel: Creating an Inclusive Workplace

SPEAKERS: Rick Roderick & Abtin Mehdizadegan

What is an inclusive workplace? And how do we know when we have one? The first test might be to examine why people leave, and why they stay. Sometimes we think we are being inclusive while those we believe we are including, feel otherwise. Research tells us that the lack of a feeling of belonging is a significant factor in employee turnover. Thus, it is a key management imperative to understand what inclusion is and how when done right, inclusion is a major  contributor to an organization’s bottom line.

At the end of this session, participants will be better able to:

1.       Assess how inclusive their areas of responsibility are.

2.       Involve team members in inclusive efforts.

3.       Monitor results against such measures as turn-over and productivity.
