26th Day of 89th General Assembly—Fiscal Session

CAPITOL ACTIVITY

The Joint Budget Committee has adopted the $5 billion state budget for the next fiscal year that beingsJuly 1, 2014 and ends June 30, 2015. The final budget approval comes in the form of bills (SB 147 and HB 1159) known as the Revenue Stabilization Act (RSA). Approval of this Act now moves to the House and Senate and requires a minimum of two days to approve. The House and Senate adjourned today until 3 p.m. next Tuesday, March 11. This puts the session in a position to adjourn next Wednesday unless something causes a delay.
