Detailed Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Support, advise and counsel on leadership development and strategic workforce planning initiatives.
Provide recruiting and staffing support for assigned customer base.
Provide support to supervisors and managers regarding employee relations issues. 
Consult with management on employee performance, employee conduct and general employee relations issues to ensure that Company expectations are being met, while maintaining open communication between employees and management.
Provide guidance relative to the progressive discipline process, and escalate as appropriate up to and including the coordination of involuntary employee separation. Ensure that a balanced but consistent approach is taken in the application of discipline.
Advise and assist line and staff units of the Company in the interpretation and application of human resources policies and programs. Provide guidance to ensure uniform and consistent applications of discipline for policy and work rules violations.
Experience working with multiple locations preferred.
Maintain knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures, laws and regulations, industry trends and developments to ensure accurate information is being communicated throughout the company.
Participate and represent the corporation in civic, industry and professional organizations.
Attend job fairs when appropriate.

Qualifications/Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 7 years general Human Resources experience with primary emphasis on employee and labor relations.
Strong operations background preferred.
 

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or other related field required.
PHR/SPHR or SHRM certification desirable.
