Job Summary

Reporting to the Executive Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Analyst works collaboratively with coworkers, institution managers and executive leadership providing support to the Human Resources Team.
The Human Resources Analyst is responsible for conducting special research studies, analyzing data, preparing statistics, making recommendations based on research findings, and monitoring and coordinating project/program activities.
This position provides direct support for the College’s broad initiatives under the direction of the Executive Director of Human Resources by collaborating with other Human Resource staff and other College staff as needed.
This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.


Detailed Job Description

Monitors, analyzes, and prepares any local, state and federal reports utilizing Workday, Microsoft products, and/or Argos under the direction of the Executive Director of Human Resources.
Responsible for the completion of unemployment claims. Provides supporting documentation and/or testimony for unemployment hearings and prepares unemployment reports.
Ensures compliance with Workers Compensation Claims including assisting employees completing forms, providing follow-up, and reporting.
Assists with preparation of responses to administrative agencies on EEO claims under the direction of the Executive Director of Human Resources.
Works collaboratively with the Title IX Deputy for Employees to ensure compliance with Title IX. Duties may include scheduling and participating in interviews, preparing notes and/or other related items.
Responsible for managing the tuition waiver process for campus employees.
Assists Employment Coordinator with the background check process, I9 documentation, document retention and auditing of personnel records, and other employment related projects.
Assists Classification and Compensation Manager with ensuring the upload of Faculty workload records to be accurate, timely and in compliance with the institution’s pay practices and state guidelines. Identifies errors, researches and resolves issues. Serves as liaison between payroll and end users.
Assists Compensation and Classification Manager with Period Activity Pay (PAP) transactions. Works closely to guide and instruct originators in workflow completion. Determine if workflows are completed correctly, return incorrect workflows to originators, and apply approved workflows for payment. Track workflows to ensure they are processed in a timely matter. Answer various questions relating to PAP.
Backup support to all areas of Human Resources, including greeting visitors and guests, answering phones, document management, and fulfilling any other duties assigned in benefits, employment, payroll, and training and development as needed.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, general business, or a related field; plus two years of experience in a human resources field.
