NOARK Legislative Committee Meets with Congressman Steve Womack

The legislative committee of NOARK met with Congressman Steve Womack on September 1 as part of an initiative from the Society for Human Resources Management, to meet with our congressional delegations while they are in district. We discussed topics that are currently relevant for the HR profession, for our organizations and our employees. We offered the NOARK membership as a resource for him when considering legislation that directly affects us. Bracing for Regulatory Changes in 2021

With all the COVID-19 related issues and all the political drama of the 2020 elections, I imagine one of the most used words in 2020 was "unprecedented." Based on how the Biden administration has started, one of the most used terms in 2021 may well be "burdensome," at least for us in HR.
