NOARK was formed on September 2, 1971 under ASPA/SHRM and as such we are proud to have provided over 30 years of service to the Human Resource community in Northwest Arkansas. There are approximately 155 local companies represented by 300+ members. While large companies support us with multiple memberships of key HR professionals, most of these companies are single member.
Our Mission
Our mission, as an organization, is to provide an avenue for the advancement of human resource management in Northwest Arkansas. To that end, we are dedicated to offering our members opportunities and resources to improve their ability to perform in the field of human resources, as well as a collective voice in the industry, the community, and - through our affiliation with the Society for Human Resource Management - the nation.

NOARK supports the aims and purposes of the Society of Human Resource Management, and encourages membership in the Society for eligible human resource persons.

NOARK membership offers the opportunity to establish relationships with other HR professionals in the NW Arkansas area during monthly meetings and other events. You'll be able to discuss topics of concern, obtain valuable assistance and advice, as well as take advantage of shared resources.

The Annual Compensation & Benefits Survey provides a comparison of salaries and benefits among employers in the Northwest Arkansas region.
Dual Career Employment Network (DCEN)
The DCEN is co-sponsored by the University of Arkansas and is designed to be responsive to the needs of dual-career families relocating to Northwest Arkansas as a result of employment with a NOARK-member company,. The program's goal is to inform the community of the availability of talented professionals as well as inform the relocating partners of employment opportunities.
Legislative Changes
NOARK members stay informed regarding regulations and legislation that could change the way human resource professionals perform their jobs.
PHR/SPHR Certification Training
NOARK fosters and supports the professional development of its members and encourages certification by the Human Resource Certification Institute and Professional in Human Resources or as Senior Professional in Human Resources.
