Compensation Trends 2016-17

Overview of 2016 NOARK Wage and Benefits Survey: Informational highlights from the 2016 Wage and Benefits Survey.  Summary of results and survey averages for the Northwest Arkansas regional market.  Survey information will help the NOARK members with compensation management planning, budgeting and competitive wage means, medians and ranges.

Wage and Salary Trends: Using the survey results to see how NW Arkansas compares with current and future compensation trends. Use of the survey results, other state and regional studies and information from the WorldatWork total rewards organization.  The NOARK members will learn about trends that will have an impact on compensation management, compliance with employment compensation laws and performance management.

Benefit Trends: Using the survey results to see how NW Arkansas compares with current and future benefit trends. Use of the survey results, other state and regional studies, the NOARK members will learn about trends that will have an impact on employer benefit offerings.

Speaker Bio’s

Bruce and Blair Johanson are Principle Partners and Co-Owners of two Fayetteville, AR­ based companies, Johanson Group, a HR/Management consulting firm and DB Squared, LLC, a HR/Compensation software company. Bruce has been with Johanson Group for 30 years and Blair joined the family consulting business in 1999. Both brothers partnered with Dale Oliver to form DB Squared, LLC in 2005. Blair and Bruce have HR and business management careers approaching 40 years each. They both hold degrees in Human Resources Management and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas Sam M. Walton College of Business. Bruce has been a member of the NOARK Human Resources Association since the 1986 and served as President, Board member, Chair of several committees and state conference chair.  Blair and Bruce have consulted with numerous organizations and companies located primarily in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kentucky and they have Johanson Group and DBSquared clients located in over 25 states.  The brothers serve as board directors for several local non-profits organizations and they both are members of the Fayetteville Downtown Rotary Club.

Corry Hull, Employee Benefits Consultant Legacy Capital, has been a consultant in the employee benefits industry since 2008. He and his team at Legacy Capital Group work with over 400 clients across multiple states and several foreign countries. His focus is on helping employers of all sizes with government and regulatory compliance, as well as, to design and negotiate insurance and other administrative products to help mitigate risk and enhance employee engagement.

Jimmy Madigan, Senior Vice President Regions Insurance has worked in the insurance industry for 12 years in a variety of roles at Regions Insurance including; account manager, technical analyst, sales, and now as a senior employee benefits consultant.  Currently, he holds insurance designations as a Certified PPACA Professional, Registered Health Underwriter, and Registered Employee Benefit Consultant.  His primary role includes managing several employers benefit plans exceeding more than 110,000 covered employees with an emphasis on developing strategies to maximize savings and reduce future exposures.
